"I was privileged to be offered two tickets to the New York City premiere of the school lunch documentary entitled: LUNCH. The film was screened at the Artivist Film Festival at the Tribeca Theatre in the Soho district of Manhattan. I am not the biggest fan of NYC traffic, but it was worth the frustrations. I got to take my best girl (wife of 37 years). I understood from the Producer (Avis Richards of Birds Nest Productions) during the well attended reception following the screening that this film is expected to enjoy commerical distribution in the next few months..."

"Millions of school children are eating two-thirds of their meals at school every day, and often that food resembles that of a fast-food restaurant. We need reform of the school lunch system at the highest levels of government, to ensure that we feed more children and feed them healthier food."

"Just the right film at just the right time... blends a warning about the food our children are eating in schools with a great, local, solution. It highlights solutions that we all can get behind!"

"Avis Richardsâs immense talent is evident in LUNCH, a film that demonstrates the importance of nutritional awareness in schools at a time when our children are already exhibiting symptoms of diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, and other life-threatening conditions. This is the first film Iâve seen that deals with how we as a country have failed to instill nutritional values in our children. I hope this exposé will inspire parents, citizens, and lawmakers to end this neglect. As the film insists, "There is no more time; we have run out of time.â

"Childhood obesity is a national epidemic: currently one out of every four children in this country is obese, double the amount in the early 1980's. These children are likely to bcomee obese adults and face health issues such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, gastro-intestinal disease, sleep apnea and depression. Considering that many children receive 2/3 of their daily caloric intake at school , it is imperative that these meals are nutritious. Presently, most school meals are saturated fat and sodium and lacking in fiber. LUNCH The Film tackles one of our country's severest health issues, one that will not only impact our children, but future generations of Americans as well."
